The History of Michigan
Michigan was established as a US state on January 26, 1837. It has deep roots from its french founders and is known for the Great Lakes, the Big Three automakers and its diverse food and culture. While it has seen better days as the population has gone down, it still is home to a unique blend of traditons and folks. Even though times are changing, Michigan has a habit of adapting to the times no matter how hard things get. From the auto plants and factory lines to small lake towns and UP backroads, people here know how to hustle, rebuild and keep it moving. Detroit might be the loudest example, but across the state you see the same mix of pride, creativity and grind showing up in local businesses, music, and everyday life.
